Utah's Artificial Intelligence Policy Act (2024, narrowed in 2025) makes businesses answerable under consumer protection law for their generative AI, requires AI disclosure on request or in high-risk interactions, and runs an Office of AI Policy with a regulatory learning lab; the Act is set to repeal July 1, 2027. Separate laws cover mental health chatbots, election deepfakes, AI-made intimate images and content provenance (from January 1, 2027), and AI-driven defamation and identity abuse.
