Kansas AI laws: what's in force, and what's coming

Kansas has no comprehensive or consumer-facing AI statute; its AI-specific laws ban AI platforms controlled by a country of concern (such as DeepSeek) on state devices and networks, and extend child sexual exploitation crimes to AI-generated or morphed images. Bills on election deepfakes failed in 2024 and 2025.
