New Hampshire AI laws: what's in force, and what's coming

New Hampshire has no comprehensive AI statute but enacted several targeted laws in 2024: limits on state agency AI use, a disclosure rule for AI and deepfakes in political ads, and a crime and civil action for fraudulent deepfakes. A 2025 law reportedly adds criminal and civil liability for chatbot operators whose bots push minors toward sexual content, drugs or self-harm.
