Maryland AI laws: what's in force, and what's coming
Maryland governs state agencies' AI through the Artificial Intelligence Governance Act of 2024, a 2024 executive order and a DoIT Responsible AI Policy, and regulates specific private uses: AI in health insurance utilization review, facial recognition in job interviews, and (from 2026) election and identity-fraud deepfakes. It has no comprehensive private-sector AI statute; a 2025 workgroup was due to recommend AI consumer protection steps by July 2026.

Keep a record anyone can check
When your team meets a duty, Planisphere can seal the event it reports as a receipt.
A disclosure shown, a review signed, a model change approved: the event your system reports.
The event becomes a sealed receipt, dated and attributed to whoever is signed in.
Paste the receipt into Verify. No account or key.
A record supports your compliance evidence process. It is not a legal finding or a certification. Systems that call Planisphere's gate API can also hold or refuse an action before it runs.
