Hawaii in clinical AI workflows: what compliance requires, who asks for evidence, and the records to keep.

| Realistic digital imitations (deepfakes) civil remedy | In force | Prohibits certain harmful, unauthorized uses of AI-generated realistic digital imitations of identifiable people and gives victims civil remedies, including damages up to $25,000 per piece of content. |

In a clinical AI workflow
Hawaii has no comprehensive AI statute; in July 2026 it enacted an AI companion chatbot law (Act 248) and a civil remedy for harmful AI digital imitations (Act 247). Its 2024 election deepfake law (Act 191) was struck down by a federal court in January 2026, and statewide agency AI use guidelines were still in draft as of mid-2026.

Optional evidence · where Planisphere fits
Keep a record anyone can check
When your team meets a duty, Planisphere can seal the event it reports as a receipt.
A disclosure shown, a review signed, a model change approved: the event your system reports.
The event becomes a sealed receipt, dated and attributed to whoever is signed in.
Paste the receipt into Verify. No account or key.
A record supports your compliance evidence process. It is not a legal finding or a certification. Systems that call Planisphere's gate API can also hold or refuse an action before it runs.
