EO 14179 for clinical AI workflows
EO 14179 in clinical AI workflows: what compliance requires, who asks for evidence, and the records to keep.
01 / The rule
What EO 14179 requires
White House advisers, OMB and federal agencies; it places no direct obligations on private companies.
- 01Develop and submit an AI Action Plan to the President within 180 days (named White House advisers).
- 02Review actions taken under revoked EO 14110 and suspend, revise or rescind those inconsistent with the order's policy.

In a clinical AI workflow
It is the policy root of the current federal AI rules for agency use and purchase. Compliance duties for AI systems come from the OMB memos it triggered, not from the order itself.
Clinical committees and health system AI governance.
HHS §1557 · HIPAA · FDA PCCP.
03 / Records
Records to keep
- 01Agency records of EO 14110 actions reviewed and rescinded
- 02Compliance with successor OMB memos M-25-21 and M-25-22
Optional evidence · where Planisphere fits
Keep a record anyone can check
When your team meets a duty, Planisphere can seal the event it reports as a receipt.
A disclosure shown, a review signed, a model change approved: the event your system reports.
The event becomes a sealed receipt, dated and attributed to whoever is signed in.
Paste the receipt into Verify. No account or key.
A record supports your compliance evidence process. It is not a legal finding or a certification. Systems that call Planisphere's gate API can also hold or refuse an action before it runs.
