Connecticut AI laws: what's in force, and what's coming
After broad AI bills failed in 2024 and 2025, Connecticut enacted Public Act 26-15 (SB 5) in May 2026, an omnibus law covering companion chatbots, automated employment decision tools, AI provenance data, frontier-developer whistleblowers, AI-related layoff notices and state agency AI use, phased in from October 2026 to January 2028. Since 2023 state agencies have had to inventory and assess their AI systems under Public Act 23-16.

Optional evidence · where Planisphere fits
Keep a record anyone can check
When your team meets a duty, Planisphere can seal the event it reports as a receipt.
A disclosure shown, a review signed, a model change approved: the event your system reports.
The event becomes a sealed receipt, dated and attributed to whoever is signed in.
Paste the receipt into Verify. No account or key.
A record supports your compliance evidence process. It is not a legal finding or a certification. Systems that call Planisphere's gate API can also hold or refuse an action before it runs.
